 You still have to pay the old fashioned way (with a check) for now, but at least we are making it a little easier to register. Please visit the website and let us know what you think. 2011 Conference Announcement

The long anticipated announcement for the Utah Floodplain and Stormwater Management Association's Annual Conference is finally here! The conference will be held November 8, 9, 10, 2011 at the Abbey Inn in St. George, Utah. We are currently planning an amazing agenda packed with informative presentations that will surely knock your socks off! So take out that red pen and mark off those dates and join us in St. George for a great conference. We are planning a tour and will have our annual awards banquet on the evening of November 9. Our conference will end at noon on November 10.

Want To Be a Certified Floodplain Manager?

Through the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM), our mothership, Certification in floodplain management is offered. I offer this exam each year at our annual conference. It is a test that requires some studying and good working knowledge of the National Flood Insurance Program. There is a fee to take the exam and annual CEU's to maintain the Certification. It is a great way to show our professionalism in our field. If you are interested in taking this exam, please let me know and I will get you the study material for this exam.

Welcome To Our Blog!

It's true, UFSMA has a blog. Long over due. Now we can talk about all sorts of floodplain and stormwater issues and announce conferences and workshops better. I hope you will join me in this conversation and get our association active. I appreciate all our members. What a great group ! Our conference is November 19-20, 2009 at the St. George Abbey Inn.
